Friday night on Lam Vien Square, looking out over Xuan Huong Lake, or Saturday night above Da Lat Market, a few steps from the night market? Only two nights of the Da Lat jazz festival are described as open to the public, so pick your night before you book a room.

Update, October 14

Planned for November 6-8. November 8 is for invited guests; show times, entry to the first two nights and the night-by-night lineup still need checking.

When and where is the Da Lat jazz festival?

Three nights in three spaces in central Da Lat, moving from public squares to a smaller, invitation-only evening (Tuoi Tre News, October 12, 2026). The dates are still provisional, so check again before you book anything non-refundable.

The three nights, as announced on October 12, 2026.

Hoa Binh Theater, about 50 meters from Da Lat Market, is under renovation. The November 7 show is billed for the square in front of it, so check how to get in closer to the date.

Which night should you go to?

Until the organizers say who plays which night, choose by venue and by your travel dates. If you can, stay for both the Friday and Saturday evenings.

Is it free, and how do you get in?

Apart from the invitation-only night on November 8, the announcements we checked give no ticket prices or registration process for the first two nights. Do not assume admission is free, seating is provided, or you can enter at any time.

  • Where to watch for updates: the province’s Lamdongconnection tourism site, the Lam Dong provincial portal (both in Vietnamese) and the major newspapers. The launch coverage did not give an official festival website or social media page.
  • Be wary of resold “tickets”: if someone offers tickets for the first two nights or a spare invitation for November 8, check it against an official announcement before you pay.

Who is playing?

The artists announced so far:

  • Lisa Ono: Japanese bossa nova singer, billed as the “Queen of Bossa Nova in Asia.”
  • Raul Midón: an American singer and guitarist with two Grammy nominations.
  • Nik West: American electric bassist and producer.
  • Dadada and JKC: international acts, with no further details yet.
  • Nguyên Lê with Hồng Nhung: the France-based guitarist brings his band to Vietnam to reinterpret songs by the late songwriter Trịnh Công Sơn with singer Hồng Nhung.
  • Hoài Sa with Hà Trần (Trần Thu Hà): new arrangements of Vietnamese songs, with Hà Trần as lead singer.
  • Đức Trí: Musique de Salon - Le Grand Orchestre et Jazz, pairing a classical orchestra with jazz improvisation.
  • Trần Mạnh Tuấn Fusion Band: named in some reports; confirm the performance schedule with the organizers.

The lineup is still being updated, and the night-by-night schedule has not been confirmed. If you are coming for one artist in particular, wait for that schedule before you book.

November jazz and the old December plan

In the Flower Festival plan issued in June, jazz was scheduled for around December 25-27. The October reports place the Flower Festival’s jazz event in November rather than late December. Whether a separate jazz performance will still take place in late December remains unconfirmed.

If jazz is your main reason to visit in late December, confirm the schedule before booking. The rest of the Flower Festival program is in our Da Lat Flower Festival guide.

Background: organizers and the change of dates
  • The organizer is HAUS Foundation, part of the property developer The One Destination, under the direction of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee; Beyond is the production company. Musician Huy Tuấn created the festival and is its general director (Tuoi Tre, Dan Tri, October 12, 2026). He told Tuoi Tre on October 14 that the plan is to build it season by season rather than hold a one-off event.
  • Bao Lam Dong (October 8, 2026, in Vietnamese): some Flower Festival programs were adjusted, with the Vietnam Jazz Festival now planned for November 6-8 at Lam Vien Square and HAUS Da Lat.
  • Bao Lam Dong (October 11, 2026, in Vietnamese): a meeting chaired by provincial vice chairman Dinh Van Tuan on the “Vietnam Jazz Festival 2026,” part of the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival, planned for November 6-8 at Lam Vien Square, the area in front of Hoa Binh Theater and HAUS Da Lat.
  • The October 12 press coverage uses the name Vietnam Jazz Heritage Festival and does not mention the Flower Festival; the dates, venues and artists match the Bao Lam Dong reports.

Getting to the two public nights, and parking

Wait for the performance and admission times before planning dinner and transport. Both public venues are around Xuan Huong Lake; see them on our Da Lat map to plan the walk between them.

November 6 at Lam Vien Square

  • The square is on Tran Quoc Toan Street, with the lake across the road. Look for the two glass domes, one green and one gold.
  • Wait for the audience layout and entry conditions before deciding where to stand. With children, ask staff on arrival about exits and a suitable area.
  • If you are staying nearby, consider leaving your car at the hotel and walking. Otherwise, check the designated drop-off points before booking a taxi.

November 7 by Hoa Binh Theater

  • The Hoa Binh area sits above Da Lat Market, connected by steep steps. With older relatives or a stroller, ask your hotel for a route with fewer stairs.
  • Under a 2024 notice, the Hoa Binh walking street runs from 7 pm to 10 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with no vehicles allowed (Nhan Dan, April 28, 2024, in Vietnamese). Check the current schedule before planning a drop-off.
  • Parking lots around the market fill up on weekend nights: ask the price first, keep your ticket and photograph your plate and the lot. More in our Da Lat night market guide.
  • Coming with a tour coach: since August 1, 2026, coaches over 29 seats (except city buses) are restricted on some central streets (Bao Tin Tuc, July 28, 2026, in Vietnamese). Ask your operator where you will be dropped off.

As of October 14, we have not confirmed the event’s road closures or drop-off arrangements. Closer to the date, check notices from the Lam Dong provincial police and Xuan Huong ward.

What to wear and bring for an outdoor show

November’s average low is about 14.6°C (58°F), but that is not a forecast for the festival nights. Check the weather closer to the date and bring a windproof layer if you will be standing outdoors for a long time.

  • Clothes and shoes: a thermal top or sweater under a jacket; closed shoes with good grip, since the Hoa Binh steps and the stone plaza get slippery when wet; a light rain poncho rather than an umbrella, which blocks the view of people behind you.
  • Rain: both public nights are outdoors. If it pours that afternoon, check for an announcement before you leave your hotel, as the schedule may change.
  • Belongings and children: wear a cross-body bag in front and keep your phone out of back pockets; in a group, agree on a meeting point. Write a parent’s phone number on a tag for your child and take a photo of them before you join the crowd.
  • Drones: do not launch a drone at the venues without checking the organizer’s restrictions and the applicable flight permissions. Flying without a permit can mean a fine of VND20-30 million (Lam Dong provincial police, February 25, 2026, in Vietnamese).

Week-by-week weather and layering tips are in our Da Lat weather in November and what to wear in Da Lat guides. To compare with the weather at home, try the Da Lat temperature tool.

Where to stay for the festival

Both public nights are in the center, so a room within walking distance of Xuan Huong Lake and Da Lat Market saves you from hunting for parking or a ride when the show ends. November 6-8 is a weekend, so book once you have chosen your night, and keep the written cancellation and change terms in case the schedule moves.

Streets with budget rooms near the center are in our cheap hotels in Da Lat city center guide; for a group, see Da Lat homestays. For buses, see Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat; for flying into Lien Khuong Airport, see flights to Da Lat.

A three-day plan with the wild sunflowers

Early November is usually when the wild sunflowers (dã quỳ, a yellow roadside flower) start blooming thickly around Da Lat, though some years are early and some late. Flowers in the morning and music at night makes for an easy rhythm. Routes and bloom status are in our Da Lat wild sunflowers guide.

A Friday to Sunday plan, November 6-8.
