Valley of Love Da Lat: history, tickets, what’s inside and when to go in 2026

The Valley of Love Da Lat is one of the first names you will hear when planning a trip to the highlands. This page goes deeper: where the name comes from, who runs the park today, what a ticket costs, what is inside, when to go, and why some visitors leave a little underwhelmed.

A short history of the Valley of Love Da Lat#

According to Vietnamese Wikipedia, French residents in the 1930s used this pine-covered valley for romantic outings and named it Vallée d’Amour. Under Emperor Bao Dai, the area was known as the Valley of Peace.

In 1953, Nguyen Vy, then chairman of the Da Lat town council, proposed restoring the romantic name, which became Thung Lung Tinh Yeu (same source). Only Wikipedia names him; news outlets such as VietNamNet (May 24, 2013) simply say the name has been used since 1953.

In 1972, a dam was built across the valley, gathering small streams into Da Thien Lake. That is why some locals still call the spot Dam 3 or Da Thien Lake 3. According to VnExpress (in Vietnamese) (August 19, 2023), the then-Ministry of Culture and Information recognized it as a national scenic site in 1998.

In other words, the real draw here is the landscape: a deep valley, pine hills and a lake. The statues, rides and museums came later, mostly after a private company took over.

Who runs the park today?#

The Valley of Love Da Lat belongs to TTC Hospitality, part of the TTC Group conglomerate. The site is managed by Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong Tourism JSC, according to VnExpress International (May 9, 2023). Its trading name today is TTC World - Thung lung Tinh Yeu.

The official TTC Hospitality page (in Vietnamese), checked September 25, 2026, says the company merged the valley with Mong Mo Hill (Đồi Mộng Mơ, “Dreamy Hill”), an older attraction once known for its “miniature Da Lat” replicas. The combined park covers 137.5 hectares. So if you see Mong Mo Hill on your map app, treat it as a zone of the same park, not a separate trip.

The merger also explains why older articles give very different sizes for the park, from about 140 to more than 200 hectares. We use the operator’s figure and say where it comes from.

Valley of Love Da Lat tickets and opening hours for 2026#

According to CafeF (in Vietnamese) (April 27, 2026), which cites the provincial Visit Lam Dong tourism portal, a Valley of Love Da Lat entry ticket costs VND250,000. The park is open from 7am to 5pm, and the suggested visit is about 180 minutes.

The price has climbed a long way. VnExpress (in Vietnamese) reported on March 5, 2017 that the adult fare had jumped from VND40,000 to VND100,000, bundling entry, an electric cart ride and a pedal boat. Two years later, a sponsored VnExpress article (in Vietnamese) (February 27, 2019) announced the VND250,000 fare from March 1, 2019.

Some attractions, including the glass bridge, are sold separately. We have not found a 2026 news report on the bridge price, so do not budget with the 2023 figure. Ask at the counter before you buy a combo.

The park also runs short promotions. On May 1, 2026, for example, holders of Love Valley Concert tickets bought before April 28 got free entry (CafeF, April 27, 2026). Deals like this come with conditions, so read the official announcement carefully.

The 8 zones and what you can do inside#

The official page divides the Valley of Love Da Lat into eight zones: the Valley of Love center, the Mong Mo Hill center, an ethnic culture village, the boat pier, the Venus flower garden, the Vong Canh viewpoint hill, the Valley of a Thousand Flowers, and the entrance area.

More than 60 free electric carts run about every five minutes between the zones (official site). That matters, because the grounds are large and hilly, and it makes the park easy for older travelers.

Scenery and gardens

Da Thien Lake is the heart of the Valley of Love Da Lat. Around it you will find swan pedal boats, a 1.2-hectare rose garden and a hydrangea garden of more than one hectare ringed by pine forest (official site). The Venus garden, with its white statue, has been a classic photo stop for years.

Replicas, museums and culture

The park has miniature models of 30 world wonders, a wax museum, a 1,500-meter hedge maze with two-meter walls built from 24,000 plants, and a museum of more than 1,000 ceramic jars from ethnic minority communities of the southern Central Highlands (official site).

A Central Highlands gong music show is staged daily on a stage that seats about 1,000, from 9-11am and 2-4pm (official site). If you want to catch it, plan your route around those two windows.

Active attractions

The ropes course includes a high wire and zipline nine meters up, plus a two-kilometer sky walk 20 meters above the pine forest (official site). In 2026, the park added a flower hot-air-balloon garden, a rainbow slide, an alpine coaster and grass sledding, according to the Lam Vien ward government portal (in Vietnamese) (April 17, 2026).

In early August 2026, the park opened DalaZoo, an interactive zoo with more than 50 animals, according to a Thanh Nien article (in Vietnamese) (August 15, 2026) credited to TTC World itself. We have not seen an independent review yet, so we only note that it exists.

The Ngan Thong glass bridge: is it worth it?#

The Ngan Thong (“Thousand Pines”) glass bridge links Mong Mo Hill with the Valley of Love Da Lat. According to VietNamNet (August 21, 2023), it opened on August 19, 2023, measures 325 meters by three meters and holds more than 200 people at a time. VnExpress described five-layer tempered glass almost 4 cm thick and 7D sound and visual effects. Reports disagree on the height, so we leave that out.

The bridge had a rocky start. VnExpress International (May 9, 2023) reported that the project was almost finished in 2020 when authorities found it had no license. The investor was fined VND40 million (about US$1,700), and work stopped for three years.

In early April 2024, videos of hundreds of people squeezing onto the bridge went viral. Tuoi Tre News (April 6, 2024) quoted the park’s director saying visitor numbers are capped, umbrellas are banned and the bridge closes in strong wind or heavy rain.

Our advice: if you are nervous about heights or visiting on a public holiday, skip it. If you still want to go, pick a dry weekday morning and check the bridge price at the counter before paying for a combo.

Best photo spots at the Valley of Love Da Lat#

Most of the best frames at the Valley of Love Da Lat come from the landscape, not the props. Here is what we gathered from Creative Commons photos and the sources above.

• Vong Canh viewpoint hill: Wikipedia describes a climb of about a hundred steps through a flower arch, or a dirt path, to a view over the whole valley. On clear days you can see the Langbiang range.
• The dam road on Da Thien Lake: lake on one side, pines on the other; best in slanting morning light.
• The pedal-boat pier: the row of white swan boats is the park’s signature shot.
• Venus garden and rose garden: good for portraits, but crowded around midday.
• Cherry blossom season: the 2026 Da Lat cherry blossom festival ran January 20-February 15, with art activities at the Valley of Love (Viet Nam News, January 21, 2026).

When to visit#

Time of day: the first hours after opening, until about 10am, are usually the most pleasant, with soft light and fewer tour groups. After 3pm the air cools quickly, and the gates close at 5pm.

Day of the week: avoid the Valley of Love Da Lat on weekends and public holidays if you can. Thanh Nien (in Vietnamese) reported about 4,000 visitors on August 30, 2026, double a normal day, with 5,000-6,000 expected the next day.

Season: January and February bring the wild Himalayan cherry blossoms. According to Viet Nam News (February 5, 2026), the park planted 250 more cherry trees and visitor numbers in the last lunar month were up about 30% year on year. Traveling in the rainy season? Getting to the Valley of Love Da Lat#

The park sits about 5 km north of the center according to Wikipedia, or about 6 km to the northeast according to the operator. The main gate is at 3-5-7 Mai Anh Dao Street. The easiest approach is to type that address, or the Vietnamese name Thung lũng Tình Yêu, into a ride-hailing or map app.

Taxis, ride-hailing cars and motorbikes all work. If you plan to rent a motorbike, read the license rules and costs in our Da Lat travel tips first. Once inside, the free electric carts move you between zones.

Combining it with Than Tho Lake and Mong Mo Hill#

Mong Mo Hill is now inside the same park, reachable by electric cart or the glass bridge, so you do not need a separate ticket for it. Than Tho Lake (Hồ Than Thở) is a separate stop on the east side of town.

According to VnExpress International (April 22, 2019), the French created the lake in 1917 and named it Lac des Soupirs; it has carried the Vietnamese name Than Tho, meaning sighs, since 1956 and became a national scenic site in 1999. Early mornings there are quiet and misty.

The honest verdict: pros and cons#

The Valley of Love Da Lat has plenty of fans and plenty of critics. Here is our summary so you can decide before spending VND250,000 per person.

The biggest drawback is how commercial it feels. If you want quiet pine forest without the crowds, Tuyen Lam Lake or the pine hill beside Than Tho Lake at dawn will suit you better. If you are traveling with family and want easy facilities, the valley is a safe choice.

Visiting with older travelers or kids#

At the Valley of Love Da Lat, the free electric carts cut out most of the walking. The viewpoint hill still involves around a hundred steps or a dirt path, so anyone with bad knees may prefer to enjoy the view from the lakeside. The high wire, zipline and glass bridge are not for anyone afraid of heights or with heart conditions.

We could not find official information on wheelchair routes, accessible restrooms or 2026 child fares. If you need any of these, call the hotline and ask directly before you go.

Quick tips before you go#

• Check the price and any promotions on official channels just before your visit; prices can change by season.
• Arrive at opening time for the best light and fewer tour groups.
• Bring a light jacket and a rain poncho, especially from May to October.
• Wear shoes with good grip if you plan to climb the viewpoint hill.
• Do not step into flower beds or pick flowers for photos.
• Allow about three hours for the Valley of Love Da Lat, in line with the Visit Lam Dong suggestion.

Final thoughts#

The Valley of Love Da Lat is no longer the quiet pine valley of the 1930s. It is a large, polished and very commercial theme park. Go early on a weekday, focus on the lake, the hills and the forest, and you will still see why the French gave it such a romantic name.
