1. What is Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat?#

In short, Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat is a small lodging business built inside a working strawberry farm. According to its listing on the dalat.vn directory, the grounds cover about 8,000 square meters and are split into three accommodation areas, alongside a high-tech strawberry garden, cherry tomatoes and a barbecue restaurant. That figure is supplied by the business itself, and the page carries no update date.

The farm is what sets it apart. A May 2023 post on the Berry Valley website says the owners run three strawberry gardens totaling 16,000 square meters, grown under greenhouse cover on coconut-fiber substrate. Garden No. 1 sits at the homestay address; the other two are on Cam Ly Street and Chau Van Liem Street, both in the same former Ward 7 area.

On Google, the property now appears as “Vườn Dâu Berry Valley - Homestay” (Berry Valley Strawberry Garden - Homestay). When we checked on September 25, 2026, that listing had 478 reviews, an average of 4.4 out of 5, and rooms on sale for the last nights of September 2026. Trip.com showed two guest reviews written in February and March 2026. In other words, the place is open and taking guests, even if its name varies a little from site to site.

One honest caveat before we go on. Many older write-ups online describe Berry Valley in dreamy terms, such as a “miniature European village” or cabins raised on stilts. We could not find a reliable source for those details, so this review sticks to what the listings and actual guests say.

2. Rooms and grounds (from listing descriptions)#

We pieced together the rooms at Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat from Trip.com, the property’s website and the dalat.vn directory. Each site names the rooms slightly differently, so compare photos and descriptions carefully before you pick one.

Room types on sale

According to Trip.com (checked September 25, 2026), there are 21 rooms in four groups: a one-bedroom chalet, a double room, a wooden suite and a garden-view room. The chalets make up the largest group. The listing mentions garden views, outdoor seating and Wi-Fi in the shared areas.

The Rooms & Rates page on the Berry Valley website (undated) uses different names: Bungalow Double with one double bed, Quadruple Room with two queen beds for four people, and Quadruple Superview, described as separate units on the slope looking down over the valley and pine hills. The website says the Bungalow Double is fitted out in pine wood and set around a fish pond, which suits couples.

Treat that table as a guide to room styles only. The page has no date and contradicts itself on the last line, so do not read it as today’s price. For real, date-specific rates, check a booking site or message the property.

In-room basics

The dalat.vn directory lists a TV, fridge, fan, hair dryer, towels, shower, slippers, blackout curtains, a dressing table, wardrobe and free Wi-Fi. None of the sources we read confirms air conditioning, which matters little in Da Lat’s cool climate. The more useful question is whether the room has thick blankets and reliable hot water on cold nights.

Shared spaces

For shared facilities, Trip.com says Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat has a restaurant, barbecue area, garden, common lounge and free private parking. Google Hotels adds that it is “one of the few hotels in the area with a restaurant.” Several travel blogs also mention a kids’ play area with grass sledding and seesaws; the big booking sites do not confirm this, so ask ahead if you are traveling with children.

A few house rules, per Trip.com: breakfast is not included, pets are not allowed, and children are welcome but may be charged an extra fee, which the property quotes at booking.

3. The greenhouse strawberry farm at Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat#

If you choose Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat, the strawberries are almost certainly the reason. According to the Strawberry Farm page on the property’s website, the gardens grow two main varieties: a Korean strawberry described as soft and sweet, and a Japanese strawberry described as very sweet with moderate acidity. The plants grow in raised troughs under greenhouse cover, which makes them less exposed to the weather than field crops.

Guests can walk into the garden and pick their own fruit. One Google review from May 2025 notes that you can either pick strawberries yourself or buy them at the shop out front, and a 2026 Trip.com review mentions strawberries on sale on site. The Berry Valley website says staff box up whatever you pick, deliver within Da Lat and ship by bus to other provinces, with prices set by fruit size. We found no dated price list for picking, so we are not quoting a number.

When are the strawberries best?

According to Viet Nam News (January 30, 2024), Da Lat’s main strawberry season runs from November to April, the dry season, and Da Lat strawberries were named one of Vietnam’s top ten specialties of 2023 by the Asia Book of Records. A VnExpress report (May 2016) adds that farm prices are usually lowest at the March-April peak. Because Berry Valley grows under glass, you may still find fruit in the rainy season, but expect smaller harvests and less sweetness than in the dry months.

Strawberry products

Beyond fresh fruit, the website promotes two Berry-branded products: rolled strawberry candy with little added sugar, and naturally fermented strawberry juice aged for at least a year. 4. Location, new address and getting to Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat#

Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat sits on Thánh Mẫu Street, north of the center, on the road toward the Valley of Love. Google and Booking.com list it as “158 (old) Thanh Mau,” while the property’s website writes “No. 6 (old No. 158) Thanh Mau.” If you see both numbers, they point to the same place.

Since July 1, 2025, the old Ward 7 has been merged with Lac Duong town and Lat commune into a new ward called Lang Biang - Da Lat, according to the official list of Da Lat’s five new wards. Google Hotels and Trip.com already use the new ward name, while Tripadvisor and many blogs still say “Ward 7.” Show your driver the Vietnamese address to avoid confusion.

Travel times

According to Google Hotels (checked September 25, 2026), the drive from the homestay takes about 3 minutes to the Valley of Love, 9 minutes to the Da Lat Flower Park, 10 minutes to Xuan Huong Lake and 12 minutes to Da Lat Market. A taxi to Da Lat Railway Station takes about 14 minutes, and to Lien Khuong International Airport about 46 minutes. Several blogs put the distance at roughly 1.8 km to the Valley of Love and 5 km to the market.

How to get there

• Taxi or ride-hailing app: the easiest option on arrival, especially with luggage. Give the driver “158 cũ Thánh Mẫu” or open the exact Google Maps pin for “Vườn Dâu Berry Valley,” because several strawberry farms along this road have similar names.
• Motorbike: handy for Valley of Love, Than Tho Lake or the hills to the north. The dalat.vn listing says the property rents motorbikes; ask about prices, helmets and license requirements directly.
• Private car: Trip.com lists free private parking, a real plus compared with many homestays tucked into narrow downtown alleys.

5. What is near Berry Valley?#

The northern location of Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat makes it easy to pair with the Valley of Love, the hills and the farm country of Lang Biang - Da Lat Ward. • Valley of Love (Thung lũng Tình Yêu): the closest sight, about 3 minutes by car. We cover it in depth in our Valley of Love Da Lat review.
• Flower Park and Xuan Huong Lake: about 9-10 minutes by car, good for an afternoon walk before dinner downtown.
• Da Lat Market and the night market: about 11-12 minutes by car. Plan your ride back in advance, since the roads north of the center get quiet after dark.
• Places to eat nearby: Google Hotels lists a number of restaurants 1-5 minutes away. We have not checked them ourselves, so we are not naming any.

We read the scores and review summaries for Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat on four platforms on September 25, 2026. The points below are paraphrased, not quoted, and the number of reviews behind each score varies a lot.

Booking.com sub-scores

According to the Booking.com review page snippet, staff score highest at 9.1, followed by value for money at 8.5, comfort at 8.4 and cleanliness at 8.2. Location and Wi-Fi both sit at 8.0, and facilities come last at 7.9. The overall picture: guests like the people and the price more than the buildings and equipment.

What guests tend to praise

• Friendly, accommodating staff; some guests were allowed to check in early.
• Two-story wooden cabins that work well for families with small children and bigger groups.
• The strawberry farm on the grounds, where you can pick your own or buy at the counter.
• A pretty garden, cool air, quiet surroundings and views of the hills.

What guests tend to complain about

• Some rooms were not spotless, and a few guests had to remind staff to clean.
• No permanently staffed front desk, which made check-in and check-out help hard to find.
• Only one or two staff members speak English, so communication can be slow for foreign visitors.
• One 2026 Trip.com review mentions noise starting around 7 a.m.

Google’s own review summary points the same way: comments on the property and service lean clearly positive, while comments about sleep include more complaints. If you are a light sleeper, ask for a room away from the garden paths and shared areas.

In our reading, Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat suits families with young children who want a strawberry-picking morning, and groups of four who like wooden cabins, an evening barbecue and no need to head downtown at night. Road-trippers with a car also benefit from the free parking.

On the other hand, Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat is not the right pick if you want to stroll to Xuan Huong Lake or the night market, or if you need a 24-hour English-speaking front desk. A hotel near the center will be easier. General advice on booking early, deposits and the documents you need at check-in is in the booking section of our Da Lat travel tips. Here is what applies to Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat in particular:

1. Compare at least two sites. Trip.com’s “from US$16” and “average US$42” are almost three times apart, depending on room and date. For context, Agoda’s average room rate in Da Lat was about US$57 a night for August-September 2024, according to Tuoi Tre News (August 16, 2024). Around Tet, prices can jump: Dan Tri (February 21, 2026) reported some places charging three times their normal rate.
2. Confirm the room by message. Because room names differ across platforms, ask for real photos of the exact unit, the number of beds, whether the bathroom is private and whether there is an electric blanket.
3. Tell them your arrival time. Guests have complained about an empty front desk. Share your expected arrival, save the phone number on the Google listing and ask how to get the key if you arrive late.
4. Book with a cancellation policy. On September 25, 2026, Google Hotels showed a free-cancellation rate through Agoda for the night of September 30. If you pay a deposit by bank transfer instead, screenshot the message that states the refund terms.
5. Ask about the license. Many Da Lat homestays have operated without a permit; a VnExpress investigation (January 2022) found only six officially recognized homestays in the city at the time and fines of up to VND25 million for unlicensed operators. It is perfectly fine to ask for the business license before you book.
6. Go in the dry season for the best picking. November to April is the main strawberry harvest, as noted above.

Da Lat’s homestay market is volatile. According to VnExpress International (November 23, 2023), the city had about 2,400 lodging properties and 31,000 rooms, and around 20-30% of homestays in the city and about 40% on the outskirts were up for sale or closed at the time. So even though Berry Valley Homestay Da Lat was taking bookings in September 2026, call or message to reconfirm a few days before you travel.
